From choosing a pickup point to rating the driver — every step of a StarOne delivery, and what happens behind each one.
For customers
1. Set your pickup point
Type an address or drag the pin on the map. You do not need an account to look — browsing drivers is public, because choosing who you want comes before any reason to sign up.
2. See who is closest
StarOne lists verified drivers who are online near you, grouped by distance: 1–2 km, 2–4 km, 4–6 km, and the rest of your city. Each listing shows the driver's name, photo, vehicle, rating and how many deliveries they have completed.
The order is distance. Nobody pays to appear higher, because there is nothing to pay for — every driver on the platform pays the same flat subscription.
3. Call the driver
Their number is on the listing. Tap to dial and agree the job directly: what is being collected, from where, going where, and what you will pay. The published rate is $1 per kilometre with a $7 minimum under 5 km, and that is what you should expect to be quoted.
4. Place the order
Sign in and confirm the details so both of you have the same record. The driver accepts, and the order moves to Accepted.
5. Follow it to the door
The status moves as the job does — picked up, in transit, delivered — and each change is timestamped. If something goes wrong, call your driver first; they are the only person who knows where your delivery actually is.
6. Rate the driver
Once the order is marked delivered you can rate it once. Ratings come only from completed orders, which is why the numbers on a listing mean something.
For drivers
1. Create your account
Sign in with Google, Apple, or a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password to manage.
2. Upload your documents
Driving licence, vehicle details and insurance. These are stored encrypted, visible only to the StarOne administrators who review them, and never shown to customers.
3. Wait for review
A person checks your documents — not an automated system. Most applications are decided within two business days, and you are notified by email and push as soon as there is an answer. If something is rejected, the reason is shown in your account so you know what to re-upload.
4. Choose a subscription
A flat monthly fee, charged by StarOne through Stripe. This is the only money StarOne takes. There is no commission on any delivery you make.
5. Go online
Your app reports your position while you are online so nearby customers can find you. Customers see your approximate distance, never your exact location, and reporting stops the moment you go offline.
6. Take the call
Customers call you directly. You agree the job, you do the work, and the customer pays you. StarOne is not involved in that payment and takes none of it.
What happens if something goes wrong
- The driver is not answering. Open a support ticket with the order number. We can see the order history and reach the driver.
- The order was never collected. Cancel it. An order a driver never accepts is cancelled automatically after an hour, so it will not sit in your history forever.
- A dispute about payment. Because payment is arranged directly, we cannot refund a delivery — but we can mediate, and we can act on a driver's listing if there is a pattern.
- You felt unsafe. Tell us and mark the ticket urgent. We can suspend a driver's listing immediately while we look into it. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 first.
