Accessibility

StarOne aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This page states what we have done, what we know is not there yet, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard access. Every control can be reached and operated by keyboard, and the focus outline is never removed — a visible focus ring is the only way a keyboard user knows where they are.
  • Contrast. Text and interface colours are checked against their background. Our brand saffron is 2.3:1 on white, so it is used only as a surface and a rule and never carries text.
  • Screen readers. Headings are properly nested, form fields have real labels, images that carry meaning have alternative text, and decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology rather than described pointlessly.
  • Reduced motion. Every animation stops for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
  • Text size. Type is set in relative units, so browser zoom and larger default text sizes work without the layout breaking.
  • Skip link. A "skip to main content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches on every page.
  • Colour is never the only signal. Order status, ratings and alerts all carry words or shapes as well as colour.

Known gaps

We would rather name these than let you discover them:

  • The map. Choosing a pickup point by dragging a pin is not usable without sight or a pointer. The address field beside it is the accessible equivalent and does the same job, but the map itself is not a substitute path.
  • We have not had a formal audit. The commitments above are ours, checked by us. They have not been verified by an independent accessibility auditor.
  • Administrator screens. The staff panel has had less accessibility attention than the public site and contains dense tables that may be difficult to navigate by screen reader.

Telling us about a barrier

If something on StarOne stops you doing what you came to do, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to find out, and we would rather hear it directly than not at all.

Use the contact form, or open a support ticket from your account. Please say what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened — including the browser, device and any assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing that.

We aim to respond within two business days and to tell you plainly whether we can fix it, and when.

Accessible alternatives

If you cannot complete something on the site, contact us and we will help you do it another way. Nothing on StarOne is only available through an inaccessible route.
